Valen is a romanceable character and of the many villagers in Fields of Mistria. She works in the Clinic as the town's doctor. When you faint in the Mines, it is Valen who revives you (there is no service fee - however there are other consequence from fainting). She sells syrups in the clinic that give a variety of buffs.

Valen has short pale, almost white, purple hair. She has somewhat tan skin and always wears glasses above her head, except for her beach outfit. In her spring outfit, she wears a white coat and button-up shirt, similar to the color of her hair, as well as dark pants. In her summer outfit, she wears a pink long sleeved shirt that reveals the collar bone as well as beige shorts. Her beach outfit lacks glasses, only having sunglasses hanging off her black zipper one-piece. She also has a pink jacket wrapped around her hips. In her fall outfit, she wears a dark blue long sleeved shirt, revealing some cleavage underneath a cropped beige shirt. In her winter outfit, she wears a beige turtle neck and a pale blue coat a top dark blue jeans.

Would you like to come down and see my work? My family have been doctors for generations, this is our laboratory. Over the years, my ancestors made many contributions to the science of medicine. One of whom invented the panacea I used to instantly cure Hayden's ankle. She made a stockpile of it that my family has been using over the years only when there's been a real need for it. I've made it my life's work to recreate the recipe, which has been lost to time. I think I'm getting close... I'm telling you this because I think I can trust you with this secret, [Player Name]. Receive a letter from Valen asking you to meet her at the bathhouse to help her with negotiating with an outside consultant. When you arrive Valen, Juniper and Dozy are present. Valen: Juniper, thank you for agreeing to this meeting. Juniper: How could I possibly think of refusing, Doctor Valen? After all, I haven't had a good laugh in ages. Let's see these "notes" of yours. Now let's see... What unique handwriting! Shame the content is drivel. You've made no real progress on the missing key ingredient, have you? Valen: Do you have insight that you'd care to share, or is this just your usual badmouthing? Juniper: This whole thing is such a rat's nest. You would have better luck focusing on a smaller problem, something more suited to your skill level. Wart removal, perhaps? Valen's worked hard and made a lot of progress. (Dozy appears to be agreeing with Valen.) Valen: It seems my research isn't done, but at least we have a lead. Thank you for sticking by and standing up for me, [Player Name].
